This year Ben wanted to be a ghost and as I was running through Walmart one day I saw ghost t-shirts on the rack! Now I know we wore pumpkin t-shirts last year, but hey, you can't beat the ease of a t-shirt costume. So we all dressed up as ghosts and Ben loved it! It's always fun to see what your kid will want to be for halloween.

Here is another late birthday post, but I guess that's just how things go. We threw Ben an angry birds party because he is of course, obsessed! It was a lot of fun! You can see how at the end of the day he was all tuckered out! My boy turned 4 and I am so lucky to be his Momma. He has such a sweet kind loving spirit. We love you Benny boy!

So I know her birthday is long past, but I still wanted to make a post about how much I love and respect my grandma. I know her life hasn't been easy, but she is such a strong and amazing lady. Park City Trip!

We went on our yearly trip to Park City this summer and it was a good time. However, there are way too many babies in our family at the moment, so I think we were all pretty exhausted by the end. Thanks goodness for Paula's kids, and Hallie too, for all their help. They are amazing! It was fun to see the cousins have a good time together. At one point Aulden, Molly, and Ben decided to go on an adventure all by themselves and were found later in the lobby, Yikes! Yep, I guess we all just assumed someone was watching them. We played a big family baseball game, hiked stewart falls, rode the alpine slide and coaster, walked main street, and other than that we were at the pool! We tried an adventure up to mirror lake for fishing only to find it's frozen over and when we got up to stewart falls there was still snow! It only poured once, so the weather was pretty great otherwise! It is a trip we look forward to every year and I am grateful that I have such a wonderful family to spend it with.

Bear Lake Trip

We took a trip to bear Lake this summer and it was a blast! The water was great for awhile, but it got cold fast as you headed outward. The kids had fun playing in the sand every day. Josh made some amazing mud castles. Ben was afraid of the 4wheeler but Josh got him to go and I think he had a good enough time. I think Josh went slow enough that it almost put Ben to sleep. Kim and I headed out for our own adventure on the 4 wheelers and we definitely chose the road less traveled, but once we got out of that mess we had a great time!

So Ben and I made Monster shirts for the 3 boys for Father's Day. Josh was a good sport and wore his the whole day. It was such a dorky idea, but Ben absolutely loved it and is still begging me to make one for myself. We actually got to spend the weekend in Salt Lake and see the whole family so that was nice.

We have enjoyed tyler so much as he is getting older. He is such a happy spirit and he is constantly laughing about who knows what. He always makes me feel good when he smiles and laughs at the little things i do. We had his blessing day in April and had him blessed after Elena, his cousin. It was fun sharing that special day with everyone. Thanks for all the support!

Welcome to Twin Falls!

So Josh and I found out recently that there are some pretty cool sights inthe small town of Twin. In fact Shoshone Falls is the biggest waterfall i've seen yet! So if u want to plan a trip to visit we'll make sure it's a good time for all!

The new life!

I call it the big move because it's the first time i've ever lived outside of Utah! But we're only 3 hours away so the big move sounds a bit silly!

On February 14^th we moved to Twin Falls Idaho to set up our farm in Buhl. I really like it here and could totally raise a family here, but I’m not sure what we’ll end up doing. We’ll go wherever we’re needed for the business as long as it’s still standing. Ben hasn’t been too interested in Tyler yet. I think he knows he’s just a baby and he can’t even play with him yet. But whenever we talk about him he’ll say how cute he is, or how much he loves his baby brother. He has adjusted really good to the whole thing. I think that’s mostly because Tyler is such a good baby, and doesn’t cry a whole lot, or drive me crazy, or demand all my attention. I have really been enjoying our new baby. He is so sweet! In fact just yesterday I got him to laugh!! I was dying, it was so cute! He smiles all the time too. He is exactly 3 months old yesterday, so my little baby is growing up!

Ben joined a joyschool in our new neighborhood and that has been going really well. He could really care less about friends right now though. I guess he’ll develop a need for that later in life. We’ve been really busy with work, and I still have no idea what’s in store for us in the future, but we’re just living it one day at a time.

Baby Tyler James Davis Born 1/1/11

Tyler James Davis came about 12 days early, so I was happy about getting him here sooner than expected. He kicked me a lot and it always felt like he was ready to come out. It was a long labor, so I was feeling frustrated that I was in so much pain. Josh stayed positive and helped distract me as much as possible. When he could see his head he told me he had dark hair, which surprised me a lot! Like Ben, I only had to push a few times and Tyler came right out. After the long 9 months I was so happy he was finally here! Like Ben, it was really rough contractions in the beginning for a long time before they would give me the epidural. And just like Ben, they finally gave it to me because, thank goodness, my water finally broke! It was a really long night, but like ben, my epidural worked so great that I was able to rest a little bit. It was nice staying at the hospital for a couple days because I had time to spend time with my new baby and really bond with him. Everyone said how different Tyler looked from Ben. I guess he is his own little man.

Winter Snow!!

The snow has been so fun this year. Ben is loving it! Every time it snows I have to take him out because he looks so forward to it. He's been crazy on the sled too, and let's us throw him down anything. We've even sent him tumbling a couple times and he still likes it. I can't get him to stop eating the snow, and he's constantly laying his face down in the snow to eat a big bite. He even licked his snowman we made.

This year, among so many other things, I am grateful for the progress we have made in our business over the last couple years. Josh has worked so hard and sacrificed so much for our family. This year it has started to pay off and we have been able to see a lot more of him and I couldn't ask for anything more than to be with him as much as possible. He is such a great daddy and the best husband! He is so much more than I deserve and I thank God for sending me the love of my life to help me through this life!

We spent a day at Cornbelly's Corn maze and that was actually the first corn maze I ever did, and i was glad to get out of it! Ben's favorite part was the little house filled with dried corn. He liked getting buried in it. He loved the bumpy tractor ride with his dad a lot too! It was a fun adventure.

Throwing water balloons! Something we did every day for about the whole summer!

Every day when Josh gets home from work Ben turns into a hyper hypo child! No one gets him riled up like daddy! It's always fun to hear Ben laugh. When I asked Ben what he wanted to get his dad for father's day he said he wanted to get him a rainbow. So we made one from skittles. It was cute. I also had Ben fill out a mad lib about his dad.

I found this photo from last year. Josh brought home a tortoise and it was the cutest little thing. We almost lost him a couple of times, those things are fast!

Summer Time!

Since being pregnant i've neglected a lot of things. So here I am now trying to catch up a little bit.

This June we went to california with the whole family. I was very sick, but it still turned out to be a great trip.

Ben went on this crazy roller coaster. He didn't cry, but he didn't want to try it again either.

Ben and Aulden were such cute buds! We really miss them being so close, but it was fun to see them play and destroy the hotel room together.

Grandma threw us an easter egg hunt/party and it was a blast. Later on easter sunday Marsha invited us over for dinner and Ben and Molly had their own easter egg hunt. I've never seen Ben want anything so bad. Every time Molly would head for an egg Ben would run straight to where she was going and try to intercept it. It was hilarious!

I still remember Our first Valentines day together. It's actually still my favorite one yet although it you wouldn't think it by the story.

I had just gotten my wisdom teeth removed and I had 3 cold sores all over my face. My entire face was swollen and i looked terrible. Josh got me an i choo choo choose you box of chocolates and a couple disney movies and we spent the day together watching movies. Maybe it was my favorite because of all the drugs I was on, because there wasn't even any kissing involved. But needless to say I will never forget it. I think he definitely implemented true love that day. I was scary!!!

Josh gets me a huge bouquet of flowers every year and always leaves the price tag on so I can see how much it would of cost if he didn't get it for free. His business is next to the flowerama and he gives them extra parking for free flowers for all special occasions. I think it's much cooler that he gets them for free.

Ben loved the flowers. He spent 20 minutes walking around smelling every single one.

Snow canyon has some really fun short hikes
for kids. It was really funny hiking with Ben at his
snail pace. He would point out every rock as though

Dora comes next and grandpa got him a boots toy ( because he didn't feel right about getting him a dora), and when he gave it to him Ben said, where's Dora, I love her?

Bens first Santa experience

We took Ben to see santa at the mall yesterday. He got to sit on his lap with molly and despite how bad he wanted to, he didn’t cry, he just looked terrified! Molly cried, so at least one of them did. Ben told santa that he wanted candy for Christmas, and then he got a candy cane. I guess Christmas came on November 20th, oh wait, I guess if it’s candy Christmas comes almost every day for Ben. We didn’t buy a picture cause they charge $20 and it made me mad! Then later Ben wanted to see Santa again so he could get another candy cane, and I was like ummm I don’t think so. Then he started to cry, and I thought what the heck, so we went again. It was cute! Ben gave santa a bump it. It was the cutest little santa too! So I got suckered into buying a blasted picture! Yes, I am the cause of the problem! They couldn’t charge that much of we people wouldn’t put up with it. I realize it’s only once a year, but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s a rip off! Urgg! Oh well, it's fun cause I get to show Ben the picture of him with santa all the time.

So taking Ben to get his photos is close to torture, however nothing short of a miracle we get lucky and get one that's really great. It's hard to believe he's a 2 year old, but i'm starting to believe it even more lately. That terrible 2 thing apparently was not a myth and i feel a little prone to grabbing that candy bar to relieve my stresses! I should probably get out and hike or something, but ya know. He's still cute as ever and thanks to finishing his movie for the last year I can look back on the sweet times and suddenly things aren't so bad, in fact life is good!

Josh and I took Ben on a hike up to stewart falls the other day. We love going here because it has been a place we go every year together. Lots of those good memories, and a short and beautiful hike to boot! This is where our engagements were taken right under the waterfall.

It's getting overwhelming thinking about how Ben is much smarter than both his parents. Until now Ben's progress always felt slow.... crawling at 9 months, walking at 15 months. But now that he's talking we can see he's learning fast. He knows his colors, numbers 1-10, shapes, and can practically carry out conversations. I think along with that he's learning to yell, hit and and say no to everyone, so i'm feeling the 2's coming on. It's amazing to think he'll be two in a few months. We love our little guy!

It probably appears like we beat our child because every week at nursery Ben has had another injury. This time being a black eye. The funny part is that he's not even a daring, crazy, or rowdy boy. He's the most cautious careful thing i've ever seen, he's just clumsy. Anyway, I was proud of his first black eye. I think it makes him a real boy!

We finally purchased Josh a skateboard. I think he deserves it considering he never buys anything for himself ever! Josh got to skate and Ben loved to watch, so it turned out to be a win win. The good weather has been a really nice change. It's harder to entertain Ben when he can't go outside. This is about as much fun as we get, so there you have it.

Ben is starting to gain his vocabulary. He can say hi, daddy, mom, kitty, fishy, bubble, Whoa, and he tries to say thank you, but it comes out sounding a little off. He's also started taking his first steps. He's totally timid, but it's cute to see that one day he might actually do it.

We wanted to go sledding, so we made it happen. We attached ice to the bottom of our sleds and took it to the hills! The amazing part was that it actually worked. It got pretty scary at times, but we all survived and had a really fun time.

Happy Halloween!
This year we did the ghostbusters theme. Josh and I were ghostbusters and Ben was the Stay Puft Marshmallow man. Shane and Kim threw a Halloween party and Ben stayed up until 10pm which he never does happily, and it was a really fun night. Ben has been a lot happier now that he's getting older. I have been enjoying him so much. I will miss this part of his life big time!

So you've probably noticed Ben hasn't been wearing clothes lately. That's kind of our new thing around here. For one thing, I run out of clean clothes before my weekly laundry day, and for another, I just don't see the point. In this photo I took him outside to play with the hose. I noticed how much he loved it when I tried to take him away to go inside one day and he screamed his head off. So this time I just let him hang out for awhile until he figured out his new trick, drinking out of it. So now he probably looks like a neglected naked boy that pretty much takes care of his own needs.

Lately i've sorta picked up a part time job working on our web site. It's been really motivating, I can actually say I really enjoy it! At first I thought there'd be no way, I can barely handle the accounting and finances as it is with Ben around, but it's actually been a really sweet deal cause Josh has no time for anything so by helping him I free up some of his time to help me. Park City

Ben loved the pool. We took him down every day and left long after he was pruned.

We went Tubing down the Provo River, took a run down the alpine slides, went to a ski jump show, played baseball and pool, slept, ate, swam, and relaxed.

My nieces were such a help as well as everyone else. Ben loved having a lot of people around. Ever since i've been home he's just not the same. He's back to being the Ben I'm used to. Thanks mom and dad this trip was greatley needed.

So i'm not big on posting on my blog without pictures cause Pictures make things interesting, but i unfortunately can't capture every moment on film. I had the best time last night with Josh. I love how he makes me laugh. We were up for hours last night cracking our own personally made up knock knock jokes. They were so terrible but we couldn't stop laughing. What a perfect way to end a long day. Especially cause i've been feeling so crummy lately, so forgetting it all feels so good. The other day we were driving in the car and we were eating sugar snap peas. I made a joke about a pea shooter and started shooting peas out of the pod at Josh. Then he retaliated by putting peas in his mouth and shooting them back at me. After awhile Josh started to choke on a pea and with a big cough it came shooting out. We were laughing so hard. I guess I love these moments cause with the little time we seem to get to spend together sometimes we really do make the best of it.

Josh and I are learning to play the guitar. Josh is really good but very self-conscious about his singing. I keep telling him he sounds good, but of all the things he isn't afraid to do around me, he's totally embarrassed to sing. I've put a lot of effort in helping to build his self esteem in this area, but when Josh was playing the guitar and singing for Ben the other day Ben started to cry. I think he thought Josh was yelling at him or something. Anyway, this was not good for Josh. I think it's pretty funny!

Ben loves to brush his teeth. I gave him Josh's toothbrush and Josh didn't even notice until a few days later so he obviously didn't learn to brush from his daddy. Guess he learned that one from me.

We decided to try and teach Ben how to crawl since he hasn't figured it out on his own. I don't think he really gets it still. Oh well, we'll just keep waiting. I guess I should be grateful he's not all over the place, but I just get excited for him to learn new things.
During this event Spud came up to Ben and started to cuddle with him and Ben started to cuddle back. It was pretty cute. Then after Ben tried to roll on top of Spud cause he only knows how to go one direction.

So I realize i'm camera obsessive, but I love photography and I have such a good subject around for photos that it's so tempting just to take them all day long. which is pretty much what I did all day yesterday. So here you have it. My excuse is that my mother-in-law is out of town so she needs to see every detail and needs updates often.

Lets go fly a kite

So we went to St. George and this kite here was the highlight of our trip. We even had to buy two cause we lost a peice to our first one. We spent $20 on kites. We went to the park and played frisbee and swung on the swings like we were 5 again. We even did all the tricks likes back flips and jumping off the swings while swinging. It's been a long time since i've done any of this kid stuff. It was lots of fun!!!

The day has come!!! Ben is now eating , or at least trying to eat, rice cereal. He still makes grossed out faces sometimes, but as long as I let him practically feed himself he'll do it. He thinks it's more fun that way. He can even almost take a bottle all by himself. Today he kept rolling over and every time he'd get to his stomache he'd cry, so i'd roll him back and he'd roll back over and cry, so i'd roll him back and it kept going on like this for like 10 minutes. Funny stuff.

On another note. Josh can't watch me feed him or he'll get sick. He said, "Once it's been in his mouth and comes out it's throw up." Just thought that was funny. He wouldn't last one second on fear factor.

A Tribute to our Geese

We just were just thinking back about what we were doing at this time last year. Here it is....

We found 7 abandoned goose eggs on our Lake about 1 week before they were going to hatch, so we took them home, incubated them, and hatched them. We built them a chicken run for them to grow up in and set them free when they were old enough to be on their own. We'd go swimming with them and they'd peck at our hair thinking it was grass or something, so it got a little crazy. When Josh would dive under they'd dive under with him. They were so cute. It was a fun 3 months. Maybe one day they'll come back to the lake to visit.

Motherhood

Those stroller rides save my days!!! I can't believe how fussy babies are! Thank goodness he's so cute cause it's moments like this when i'm about to lose it and I take him out and look at him and all the sudden he's smiling up at me all cute and bundled. Suddenly he's a bundle of joy. How can I stay mad at that??? I really look up to all you moms out there, what are we doing??? It gets easier right, ha.

Ben loves the camera, so it's really easy to get these cute pictures of him. He just stares at it and follows it everywhere it goes. He is such a Gerber baby!

Who do you love? I have to say Josh the most, and anybody who likes to babysit my boy Ben, ha ha. And of course I love Ben too.
How long have you been married? 3 Years
Who said I love you first? Josh after about 2 months. But he's wanted to since the 7th grade. Whenever I used to walk by him in school he would always say to his friends "She will be mine. "After our first date he went home and told Debra (his mom) that he found the girl he was going to marry.
How long did you date? 3 years
Where did he propose? Besides the fact that we talked about it all the time...In a raft on his lake, but while he was going to put it on my finger he tripped and the ring fell into the lake. He dove in after it, and didn't come back up for a really long time. I think he was considering not coming back up. After all that I later found out it was a total scam and that the real ring was in the car the whole time. So I guess that's where he officially sealed the deal.
Who is taller? Josh, but he wishes I was
Who is smarter? Josh is smarter but i'm less scatterbrained
Who does the laundry? Me always, it's the only thing i don't even want help with.
Who pays the bills? I do, but mostly they pay themselves online
Who mows the lawn? Me, and an occasional Josh
Who cooks dinner? I do unless it's a grilled cheese, or eggs and toast. Josh is killer at those.
Who drives? Me, definitely, Josh hates it and I get sick otherwise. Not because Josh is a bad driver, I get sick with anybody.

I have to thank Brooke for this one. I've been having a really hard time lately getting Ben to be happy on his own for even one second. Brooke came over and dropped off this jumper yesterday and I was able to successfully cook a delicious meal while Ben was happily entertained. Mostly it was great because I really used to enjoy cooking and I finally was able to enjoy it again. Here is what we had.
Strawberry Spinach Salad with homemade poppyseed dressing and homemade candied pecans.
Chicken salad with pineapple over biscuits (also homemade and cut into heart shapes.)
Needless to say not a 30 minute meal. I was so proud I should have taken a picture.
So for Brooke and Adam if you ever want to come over for dinner you are invited. I owe you big time. Love ya

Love of my Life!!!

I thought I'd pay a tribute To my True Love.
Josh and I have been through a lot together. Our love has been forged in a fire of adversity.
I think I sometimes give Josh a hard time for a lot of things, but truthfully he is so great.
Sure he hates changing poopy diapers, and constantly puts ice cream in the cupboard, but it's those things I love most. If I couldn't make fun of him, i'd be bored. Recently i've learned that I love to go places and make fun of people. Not because I think i'm better than others, but because I like people who are different. They make me laugh and if I ever make fun of others it's just because I could really be their best friends.
Josh has so many good qualities. I respect him for so many things. He is very loyal to everyone. And he is very honest and can't hide his feelings. I think we've all seen all of Josh's sides by now. He's always trying to be better. He's always trying crazy things to be different like not having a TV cause he got sick of it one day. Yes I know everyone thinks we're insane!
Most of all we have a passion for the things we love. We could be stuck in a room for a year all alone and we'd still build great times and laugh ourselves silly. In fact I think sometimes that's what he'd prefer. Our best memories were when I was sick at home and he'd come visit me. He's always been there for me.
So now that i've once again made you all jealous of our love, Ha ha, I will end my tribute.

His favorite book is Brown Bear Brown Bear What do you see. He goes crazy when we read it to him.

He loves to be free, and by that I mean naked! We leave his diaper on of course.
