Bens first Santa experience

We took Ben to see santa at the mall yesterday. He got to sit on his lap with molly and despite how bad he wanted to, he didn’t cry, he just looked terrified! Molly cried, so at least one of them did. Ben told santa that he wanted candy for Christmas, and then he got a candy cane. I guess Christmas came on November 20th, oh wait, I guess if it’s candy Christmas comes almost every day for Ben. We didn’t buy a picture cause they charge $20 and it made me mad! Then later Ben wanted to see Santa again so he could get another candy cane, and I was like ummm I don’t think so. Then he started to cry, and I thought what the heck, so we went again. It was cute! Ben gave santa a bump it. It was the cutest little santa too! So I got suckered into buying a blasted picture! Yes, I am the cause of the problem! They couldn’t charge that much of we people wouldn’t put up with it. I realize it’s only once a year, but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s a rip off! Urgg! Oh well, it's fun cause I get to show Ben the picture of him with santa all the time.

Ben's turning 2!

So taking Ben to get his photos is close to torture, however nothing short of a miracle we get lucky and get one that's really great. It's hard to believe he's a 2 year old, but i'm starting to believe it even more lately. That terrible 2 thing apparently was not a myth and i feel a little prone to grabbing that candy bar to relieve my stresses! I should probably get out and hike or something, but ya know. He's still cute as ever and thanks to finishing his movie for the last year I can look back on the sweet times and suddenly things aren't so bad, in fact life is good!

Stewart Falls

Josh and I took Ben on a hike up to stewart falls the other day. We love going here because it has been a place we go every year together. Lots of those good memories, and a short and beautiful hike to boot! This is where our engagements were taken right under the waterfall.

Ben is still afraid of slides. Sometimes I can get him to go down with me if he's in my lap and we pretend we're a train. I keep telling myself one day he'll grow out of it and i'll realize how grateful I should have been for his careful attitude.

Sparklers

Our 4th and 24th mainly consisted of sparklers, smoke balls, and bloomin flowers, and a lot of them. Ben couldn't get enough of the smoke balls cause he loved the colors.
